Handheld 3D Laser Scanner
A new handheld 3D scanner, bringing a new dimension to spatial capture! The MetaCam Lite features the next-generation SkylandX C01 LiDAR sensor, delivering high accuracy, a wider FoV, and a higher overall scanning speed.
Handheld 3D Laser Scanner
The MetaCam Lite is a handheld scanner specifically designed for high-accuracy spatial scanning. Its survey-grade LiDAR unit is fully optimized for short-range environments.
Through powerful hardware-software synergy, the system produces denser
and more detailed point clouds—without any additional effort.
Accuracy remains consistently stable across complex
geometries and demanding environments, ensuring that
every detail is captured. In addition, scan data can be exported in standard formats, making it
immediately ready for BIM modeling and
3D design workflows.
The MetaCam Lite does not feature an RTK module or antenna,
but it supports proper scan georeferencing
through the use of control points (known survey control points).
New Gen Sensor
The next generation of autonomous systems—from robotic vehicles to humanoid robots—needs “eyes” capable of perceiving space with absolute accuracy, in real time and without compromise. The SkylandX C01 is exactly that: a LiDAR sensor designed from the ground up for high-accuracy positioning, mapping, measurement, and obstacle avoidance.
What sets it apart is not an
algorithm that corrects the data after the fact,
but the architecture of the hardware itself.
Its non-repetitive three-axis scanning mechanism
and high-performance inertial measurement unit (IMU) directly generate
high-density, low-noise point clouds,
thanks to a smaller laser spot
and exceptionally precise calibration.
The result: richer detection detail, faster response
to small obstacles, and more stable mapping, even
over long distances.
Backed by data from 5,000+ active devices and more than 1 billion square meters of real-world environments, the system integrates optimized AI technologies and powerful LiDAR algorithms. It therefore delivers exceptionally robust mapping performance across a wide range of scenarios and environments, with highly faithful capture of spatial detail.
Enables segmented data capture and automatic stitching across large scenes, eliminating time and space limitations. Real-time point-cloud processing provides immediately usable data in the field.
Hardware-level synchronization across multiple sensors achieves time alignment with microsecond-level accuracy. This ensures inherent data consistency at the source for reliable data-fusion results.
A single scan generates point clouds in multiple standard formats, as well as reconstructed 3D Gaussian Splatting models. An open data ecosystem compatible with the leading 3D design and visualization applications.
MetaCam Lite is supported by a powerful software suite covering field scanning, advanced processing, and cloud-based collaboration.
Provides a realistic, dynamic real-time preview of the colorized point cloud, enabling on-the-fly quality checks and at-a-glance monitoring of the device’s parameters.
One-click automatic point-cloud processing. It includes optimization and processing tools, while allowing the point cloud to be exported in multiple file formats, ensuring compatibility with other mainstream software solutions on the market.
Cloud-based processing software that enables real-time point-cloud computation and 3DGS generation with continuous preview. It also supports collaboration between different teams on the same project, while eliminating the need for local infrastructure and expensive computing hardware.
Applications
The MetaCam Lite is an essential addition to the toolkit of any engineer involved in surveying indoor and outdoor spaces. It can play a decisive role in completing work quickly that would otherwise require significantly more time, expense, and personnel—and, most importantly, could introduce measurement errors and errors when transferring data from the field to the office.
Using the MetaCam Lite Gen-1 is simple, fast, and genuinely straightforward—and RECAP plays a key role in making that possible. With the purchase of the equipment, you receive all the necessary field and office software, along with premium tools such as SLAM Tools, which simplifies the drafting of elevations, sections, and more within the familiar CAD environment of progeCAD 2026+. progeCAD is not included.
Most importantly, the equipment is backed by warranty coverage, training, technical support, assistance, and guidance, as well as the option to arrange personalized, tailored training sessions based on your specific needs.
